“This gospel of the kingdom will be proclaimed throughout the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.” – Matthew 24.14
“And as he sat on the Mount of Olives opposite the temple, Peter and James and John and Andrew asked him privately, ‘Tell us, when will these things be, and what will be the sign when all these things are about to be accomplished?’… the gospel must first be proclaimed to all nations.” – Mark 13.3-4 and 10
The word “nations” spoken by Jesus in Matthew 24.14 and Mark 13.10 is ethnos (ἔθνος). We believe that we will not only be “Defending the oppressed” and “Taking up the cause of the fatherless” (Is. 1.17) but we will also be hastening the return of Jesus himself by proclaiming the good news of redemption and resurrection among people groups who have never heard. We will also be raising and equipping orphans and others who are touched by Jesus to go farther than we could ever go to the unreached and thereby bring Jesus’ return closer than if we choose to stay in our reached nation.
Thailand is part of the most unreached area of the world known as the 10-40 window. Thailand’s population of 70 million people is over 99% unbelievers. That’s around 69,231,045 lost and needy people with 83 unreached ethnic groups. Not to mention neighboring countries of Vietnam with 73 unreached ethnic groups and Laos with 138.
“The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few. Therefore pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest.” – Luke 10.2
